Ibn 'Umar narrated that : the Prophet said: "Among the most dutiful of deeds is that a man nurture relations with the people his father was friends with".
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that it is important to maintain good relations with those around us, especially those who were close to our parents or guardians before they passed away. He said that this act is considered one of the most dutiful deeds a person can do in life as it shows respect for one’s elders and honors their memory in a meaningful way. We should strive to continue the legacy of our fathers by keeping their friendships alive and well even after they have passed away from this world.
