EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates that the beloved prophet of Allah, Muhammad ﷺ had a fondness for sweets and honey. It is reported by Aisha that the prophet ﷺ liked these two items very much. This hadith is classified as Hasan Sahih Gharib which means it is a sound narration with an uncommon chain of narrators. Ali bin Mushir reported it from Hisham bin Urwah and there was more stated in the hadith than what has been mentioned here. This shows us how much importance was given to even small details about the life of our beloved prophet ﷺ so that we can learn from his example and follow in his footsteps to gain closeness to Allah SWT. We should also take this opportunity to learn about moderation in all aspects of life including food as even though he loved sweets, he did not overindulge himself or make it a habit but instead kept it occasional like any other food item.
