Sharing Food in Abundance

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that the food of one person is enough for two, and the food of two is enough for four, and so on.

It has been reported from Jabir bin 'Abdullah and Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet said: "The food of one is sufficient for two, and the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food of four is sufficient for eight". Another chain from Jabir that the Prophet said similarly.

Share your resources with others
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the importance of sharing what we have with others. It encourages us to be generous with our resources, especially when it comes to food. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that even if you only have a small amount of food, it can still be shared among many people. He also showed us that by sharing our resources with others, we can create abundance from what may seem like little at first. This hadith reminds us to be mindful of how much we consume and to share whatever we have with those around us who may not have as much as we do.
