The Prophet's Preferred Garment

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) preferred to wear a garment called Hibrah.

Narrated Anas: "The garment the Messenger like most to wear was the Hibrah". Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ يَلْبَسُهَا الْحِبَرَةُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Anas ibn Malik, tells us that the beloved Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) preferred to wear a garment called the Hibrah. It is reported that this was a type of clothing made from thick fabric and was usually worn in cold weather. This hadith teaches us that we should follow the example of our beloved prophet and strive to emulate his noble character in all aspects of our lives. We should also take care to dress modestly and appropriately for any given situation or occasion.
