QUICK LESSONS:
Obey your leader so long as he follows God's commandments

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about obeying leaders who uphold the teachings of Allah. It was narrated by Umm Al-Husain Al-Ahmasiyyah who heard it from the Prophet Muhammad during his farewell Hajj. The Prophet was wearing a Burd which he had wrapped from under his armpit and she noticed his muscle quivering while he spoke. He said that if a mutilated Ethiopian slave is put in command over them, then they should listen to him and obey him, as long as he upholds the Book of Allah among them. This hadith teaches us that we should respect our leaders regardless of their race or social status, so long as they follow the teachings of Allah. We must remember that obedience to our leaders is an act of obedience to God Himself and will be rewarded accordingly.
