Giving Khumus from Spoils of War

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ ordered a delegation from 'Abdul-Qais to give Khumus from their spoils of war.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: That the Prophet said to a delegation from 'Abdul-Qais: "I order you to give the Khumus from your spoils of war". He said: There is a story with this Hadith Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ لِوَفْدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ ‏ "‏ آمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا خُمُسَ مَا غَنِمْتُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ قِصَّةٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet's order to a delegation from 'Abdul-Qais to give the Khumus or one fifth part of their spoils of war. It also teaches us that we should not be selfish and keep all our wealth for ourselves but instead use it for the benefit of others.
