QUICK LESSONS:
Accepting gifts with humility and generosity

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the Prophet's acceptance of gifts from kings and a person named Khusra. It is narrated by Ali ibn Abi Talib that the Prophet accepted these gifts without hesitation. This shows us that it is permissible to accept gifts from people as long as they are not given with any expectation of return or reward in return. It also teaches us to be generous in accepting what others offer us out of kindness or generosity. Furthermore, it teaches us to be humble when receiving such offerings as the Prophet did not reject them even though he was a leader himself.
