EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by Yusuf bin Mahak, Prophet Muhammad instructed that two sheep should be sacrificed when celebrating 'Aqiqa for a baby boy and one sheep when celebrating 'Aqiqa for a baby girl. This is an important Islamic tradition which is still practiced today in many Muslim countries. It is believed that sacrificing animals on this occasion will bring blessings to the newborn child and their family. The act of sacrificing animals also serves as an act of gratitude towards Allah who has blessed us with children. Furthermore, it teaches us to be generous and share our blessings with others by distributing the meat among family members and friends.
