The Value of Forgiveness

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that when someone breaks something of yours, you should not break something of theirs in return.

Anas narrated: "One of the wives of the Prophet gave the Prophet some food in a bowl. Then 'Aishah broke the bowl with her hand, and discarded what was in it. So the Prophet said: "Food for food and vessel for vessel".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show kindness even if someone does wrong things to us .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of forgiveness and kindness. It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik, who said that one day one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad gave him some food in a bowl. Then 'Aishah broke the bowl with her hand and discarded what was in it. In response to this, the Prophet Muhammad said "Food for food and vessel for vessel". This means that if someone breaks something belonging to you, you should not break something belonging to them in return. Instead, you should forgive them and show kindness towards them. This teaches us an important lesson about how we should treat others even when they do wrong things to us - we must always be kind and forgiving towards them instead of retaliating with anger or violence.
