Jami at-Tirmidhi 1314 (Book 14, Hadith 117) #26890
Relying on Allah and Avoiding Injustice

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teaching people to rely on Allah for their needs and not to seek recompense from him for any injustice.

Narrated Anas: "Prices became excessive during the time of the Messenger of Allah , so they said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Set prices for us!' So he said: 'Indeed Allah is Al-Musa'ir, Al-Qabid, Al-Basir, Ar-Razzaq. And I am hopeful that I meet my Lord and none of you are seeking (recompense from) me for an injustice involving blood or wealth'." Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

QUICK LESSONS:
Rely on God who sets limits and provides sustenance ; Avoid any kind of injustice ; Seek recompense only from God .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Anas ibn Malik, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. In this hadith, the Prophet was asked to set prices for people due to excessive prices in the market. He responded by reminding them that Allah is Al-Musa'ir, Al-Qabid, Al-Basir, Ar-Razzaq which means that He sets limits and provides sustenance. The Prophet also said that he hoped he would meet his Lord without anyone seeking recompense from him for an injustice involving blood or wealth. This teaches us that we should always trust in Allah's provision and justice rather than seeking it from other people or sources. We should also strive to avoid any kind of injustice so as not to be held accountable before our Lord on Judgment Day.
