Land Ownership According to Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet taught that the Lahd (a type of land) belongs to Muslims and the hole (another type of land) belongs to non-Muslims.

Ibn Abbas narrated that: The Prophet said: "The Lahd is for us and the hole is for other than us".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect other people's property rights .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the importance of respecting other people's property. The Prophet Muhammad taught that Muslims should not take what does not belong to them and should respect other people's ownership rights. He said that the Lahd is for us and the hole is for other than us. This means that Muslims have a right over certain types of land while non-Muslims have a right over another type of land. This hadith also teaches us about fairness and justice in dealing with others as well as respecting their rights even if they are different from ours.
