Respect for Funerals

SUMMARY: The Prophet followed the funeral of Ibn Ad-Dahbah on foot and returned on horseback.

Jabir bin Samurah narrated: "The Prophet followed the funeral of Ibn Ad-Dahbah walking and he returned on horseback".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنِ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ اتَّبَعَ جَنَازَةَ أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ مَاشِيًا وَرَجَعَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
