QUICK LESSONS:
Respond positively to invitations
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about responding positively to invitations, even if one is fasting. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that when we are invited somewhere, we should respond in a positive manner. If we are fasting at the time of the invitation, then instead of eating, we should pray or supplicate instead. This teaches us that it is important to be polite and respectful when someone invites us somewhere and that prayer can be an alternative for food during times of fasting.
