Abu Qatadah said: "It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What is the case of the one who fasts daily?' He said: 'He did not fast nor break (the fast)'." Or, he said: "He never fasted nor broke (his fast)".
The values taught by this hadith are moderation, balance, and self-care. We should strive to maintain a healthy balance between our spiritual obligations and other aspects of life such as work or leisure activities in order to ensure we are living a fulfilling life without overburdening ourselves with too much responsibility or stress. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us the importance of self-care; we should take time out for ourselves when needed in order to ensure we are able to continue fulfilling our religious duties without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted from doing too much at once.
