Praying Two Rak'ah While Travelling

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed two Rak'ah for nineteen days while travelling and if he stayed longer than that, he would complete the Salat.

Ibn Abbas narrated: "The Messenger of Allah traveled on a journey and he prayed two Rak'ah for nineteen days". Ibn Abbas said: "So when we would stay somewhere for nineteen (days) we would pray two Rak'ah , and if we stayed longer than that we would complete the Salat".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray consistently and faithfully even when travelling away from home.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad's journey was a great example of how to practice one's faith even when travelling. During his travels, the Prophet would pray two Rak'ah every day for nineteen days. If he stayed in a place longer than that, then he would complete the full Salat. This hadith teaches us to be consistent in our prayers and to not forget about them even when we are away from home or on a journey. It also shows us how important it is to stay connected with Allah through prayer no matter where we are or what we are doing.
