Moving During Friday Prayer

SUMMARY: It is advised to move from one's place if one feels sleepy during the Friday prayer.

Ibn Umar narrated that : the Prophet said: "When one of you becomes sleepy during the Friday prayer, then let him move from where he is sitting".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be alert and attentive during all forms of worship
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that if we feel sleepy during the Friday prayer, it is better to move from where we are sitting. This is because when we are in a state of sleep, our concentration and focus on the prayer decreases and this can lead to us not being able to properly perform our prayers. Therefore, it is important for us to be aware of our surroundings and take action when needed in order for us to be able to properly perform our prayers. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us that it is important for us to remain alert and attentive during all forms of worship so that we can benefit from them fully.
