Reciting Specific Verses During Fajr Prayer on Fridays

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would recite a specific set of verses from the Quran during the Fajr prayer on Fridays.

Ibn Abbas narrated: "For the Fajr prayer on Friday, Allah's Messenger would recite: Alif Lam Mem (which is) revealed in (Surat) As-Sajdah and, Has there not been over man".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مُخَوَّلِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَقْرَأُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ * ‏(‏تَنْزِيلُ ‏)‏ السَّجْدَةَ وَ ‏(‏هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ ‏)‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَشُعْبَةُ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ مُخَوَّلٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
Every Friday morning during the Fajr prayer, Prophet Muhammad would recite two verses from Surat As-Sajdah in the Quran. These verses are Alif Lam Mem and Has there not been over man. This is an example of how Muslims should strive to be devoted to their faith and practice it regularly. It also serves as a reminder that Allah is always watching us and knows our intentions even when we are alone. Additionally, this hadith teaches us that we should take time out of our day to remember Allah and His teachings through reciting His words in the form of prayers or other forms of worship such as reading or listening to Quranic recitations.
