QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for balance in worshiping Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of moderation in prayer and khutbah. It was narrated by Jabir bin Samurah that he would pray with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and his prayer was moderate, meaning it was neither too short nor too long. Similarly, his khutbahs were also moderate; they were neither too long nor too short. This teaches us that we should strive to be balanced in our worship of Allah SWT; not going to extremes or being careless about it. We should take care to ensure that our prayers are neither rushed nor overly lengthy, as this will help us focus on worshipping Allah SWT with sincerity and devotion. Similarly, when delivering a khutbah or sermon we should ensure that it is not overly long so as to avoid boring the listeners but also not be so brief as to leave out important points or teachings from the Quran and Sunnah.
