The Reward of Regular Sunnah Prayer

SUMMARY: Regularly performing 12 Rak'ah of Sunnah prayer will be rewarded with a house in Paradise.

Aishah narrated that Allah's Messenger (S) said: "Whoever is regular with twelve Rak'ah of Sunnah (prayer), Allah will build a house for him in Paradise: Four Rak'ah before Zuhr, two Rak'ah after it, two Rak'ah after Maghrib, two Rak'ah after Isha, and two Rak'ah before Fajr".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ مَنْ ثَابَرَ عَلَى ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ السُّنَّةِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي مُوسَى وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ‏.‏ وَمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward for regularly performing 12 Rak'ah of Sunnah prayer. According to this hadith narrated by Aishah from Allah's Messenger(S), whoever is regular with twelve Rak'ahs of Sunnah prayer will be rewarded with a house in Paradise. The twelve Rak’ahs are divided into four before Zuhr prayer and two after it; two after Maghrib; two after Isha and two before Fajr. This hadith encourages us to perform our prayers regularly as it is an act that brings us closer to Allah and rewards us greatly in the hereafter. It also teaches us that we should not take our prayers lightly as they are one of the most important acts that bring us closer to Allah and can lead to great rewards such as a house in paradise!
