QUICK LESSONS:
Perform extra prayers such as qunut when needed
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to perform a special prayer called qunut during his morning and evening prayers. This prayer is an additional part of salah which is done after reciting surah al-Fatiha and another surah or ayat from the Quran. It is usually done to ask Allah for help or protection from something bad that may happen. During this prayer, Muslims raise their hands towards heaven and recite certain supplications asking Allah for His mercy and help. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful of our relationship with Allah by performing extra prayers such as qunut when needed.
