Jami at-Tirmidhi 337 (Book 2, Hadith 189) #25902
Salat Uninterrupted by a Donkey

SUMMARY: The hadith is about how the Prophet and his companions were not disturbed by a donkey passing in front of them while they were performing salat.

Ibn Abbas narrated: "I was a companion rider on a female donkey with Al-Fadl. We came while the Prophet and his Companions were performing Salat at Mina". He said: "We dismounted from it and joined the row. The donkey then passed in front of them, and this did not invalidate their Salat".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for others' prayers, Concentrate during your own prayer

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer and how it should be uninterrupted. It was narrated by Ibn Abbas, who was riding on a female donkey with Al-Fadl when they came across the Prophet and his companions performing salat at Mina. They dismounted from their donkey and joined the row, but even though the donkey passed in front of them, it did not invalidate their salat. This shows that prayer should be done with focus and concentration, without any distractions or interruptions. It also teaches us to respect others’ prayers as well as our own; we should not disturb anyone else’s prayer or allow ourselves to be distracted during our own prayers.
