The Reward of Building a Masjid

SUMMARY: Building a Masjid for the sake of Allah will result in Allah building a house for the person in Paradise.

Uthman bin Affan narrated that : he heard Allah's Messenger say: "Whoever builds a Masjid for (the sake of) Allah, then Allah will build a similar house for him in Paradise".
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَأَنَسٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَأُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ وَوَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عُثْمَانَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ لَبِيدٍ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَدْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ وَهُمَا غُلاَمَانِ صَغِيرَانِ مَدَنِيَّانِ

This hadith is about how building a mosque for the sake of Allah can be rewarded with something even greater. It teaches us that if we do good deeds and put effort into helping others and our community, then Allah will reward us with something even better than what we have done. We should strive to do good deeds and help others as much as possible so that we can receive these rewards from Allah. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us to be generous and kind towards others because it is through these acts that we can gain rewards from God.
