Praying Zuhr at Midday

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed its highest point in the sky.

Anas bin Malik narrated: "Allah's Messenger prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed the zenith".
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَهُوَ أَحْسَنُ حَدِيثٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

This hadith is about the importance of praying salah at its prescribed time. According to this hadith, Prophet Muhammad PBUH prayed his zuhr prayer when the sun was at its highest point in the sky.
