QUICK LESSONS:
Follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet, Take care for followers, Make things easier whenever possible.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a practice of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It states that he would wipe over his khuffs and khimar. A khuff is a type of leather sock that covers the feet up to the ankles while a khimar is a type of head covering. This practice was done by wiping one's hands over both items instead of washing them each time one performed ablution or wudu. This hadith teaches us that it is important to follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet as much as possible, even in small matters such as this one. It also shows us how much care he took for his followers by making things easier for them whenever possible.
