Show kindness & respect towards your family members no matter what their relationship is with you or how old they are compared to you .

This hadith is about the importance of showing kindness and respect to family members. It was narrated by Umar ibn as-Sa'ib that one day when the Messenger of Allah was sitting, his foster-father came forward. He spread out a part of his garment for him to sit on it. Then his mother came forward to him and he spread out the other side of his garment for her to sit on it. Again ,his foster-brother came forward. The Messenger of Allah stood up for him and seated him before himself in a respectful manner. This hadith teaches us that we should show kindness and respect towards our family members no matter what their relationship is with us or how old they are compared to us. We should always be kind, generous, humble, patient, understanding towards them just like the Prophet Muhammad did with his own family members even though he was their leader at that time too!
