Seek advice from those who are wiser and more knowledgeable than you; Respect your elders; Take their opinions into consideration even if they differ from your own; Follow wise counsel despite difficulty or disagreement with one's own opinion.

This hadith speaks of a situation in which Abdullah ibn Umar was married to a woman whom he loved, but his father, Umar, did not like her. Despite this, Abdullah refused to divorce her. However, when the matter was brought before the Prophet (ﷺ), he advised him to divorce her. This hadith teaches us that we should always seek advice from those who are wiser and more knowledgeable than us and follow their advice even if it is difficult for us to do so. It also teaches us that we should respect our elders and take their opinions into consideration even if they differ from our own.
