The Reward of Intercession

SUMMARY: Interceding on behalf of the Prophet (PBUH) will be rewarded by Allah.

Abu Musa reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying: Make intercession to me, you will be rewarded, for Allah decrees what he wishes by the tongue of his prophet.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ اشْفَعُوا إِلَىَّ لِتُؤْجَرُوا وَلْيَقْضِ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ مَا شَاءَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward for interceding on behalf of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated by Abu Musa that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that whoever makes intercession to him will be rewarded by Allah. This means that if someone prays for something good to happen to the Prophet ﷺ or asks others to do so, then they will be rewarded by God for their efforts. The reward could come in many forms such as forgiveness from sins or a place in Paradise. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to make du’aa and ask others to do so for our beloved prophet ﷺ as it is an act which pleases God and brings great rewards in this life and hereafter.
