Sunan Abi Dawud 5121 (Book 43, Hadith 349) #25412
The Dangers of Party Spirit

SUMMARY: It is not permissible to be a part of any group or party that divides people and those who die upholding such divisions do not belong to the Muslim community.

Jubair b. Mut’im reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying: he who summons others to party-spirit does not belong to us; and he who dies upholding party spirit does not belong to us.’

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us against being a part of any group or party that divides people and creates animosity between them. It is important for Muslims to stay united and avoid creating divisions among themselves, as this will lead them away from the teachings of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should all be united in our faith, regardless of our differences in opinion or background. He also warned us against allowing ourselves to become divided by petty arguments or disagreements, as this can lead to further division within the Muslim community. We must strive for unity and understanding amongst each other, so that we can remain true followers of Islam and live peacefully together as one ummah.
