Beware of Eloquent Speech

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) warned against the dangers of being charmed by eloquent speech.

'Abd Allah b. 'Umar said : When two men who came from the east made a speech and the people were charmed with their eloquence, the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) said: In some eloquent speech there is magic.

QUICK LESSONS:
Use your own judgement and wisdom when listening to others instead of simply being taken away by their words alone; strive for justice and fairness in all interactions with others regardless of how they communicate with you; do not judge people based on their ability or lack thereof when it comes to speaking eloquently or otherwise .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith warns us against the dangers of being charmed by eloquent speech. It is important to remember that just because someone speaks in a way that is pleasing to the ear, it does not mean that what they are saying is true or beneficial. The Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) cautioned us against this and reminded us that in some cases, there may even be magic involved in such speeches. We should always use our own judgement and wisdom when listening to others, rather than simply being taken away by their words alone.

It is also important for us to remember that we should never judge people based on their ability or lack thereof when it comes to speaking eloquently or otherwise; everyone has something valuable and unique to offer regardless of how they express themselves verbally. We should strive for justice and fairness in all our interactions with others, no matter how they communicate with us.
