Give blessings to children by naming them properly , Take care of animals

This hadith tells us about a special moment between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a newborn baby named ‘Abd Allah b. Abi Talhah. When Anas brought the baby to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he was rubbing tar on his camel while wearing a woolen cloak. The Prophet ﷺ asked for some dates which were given to him by Anas and he put them in his mouth, chewed them, opened his mouth and placed it in the baby’s mouth as well so that he could lick it too. The Prophet ﷺ then said that Ansar’s favorite fruit is dates before giving him the name of ‘Abd al-Rahman as an act of blessing for this newborn child. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to bless our children with good names as well as how we should take care of others even if they are not related to us or part of our family circle; this includes animals too!
