Put things right between people whenever possible; strive to make peace with those around you; maintain good relationships with others; compromise when necessary for reconciliation purposes.

This hadith teaches us the importance of reconciliation between people. It is more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and almsgiving. The Prophet (ﷺ) said that spoiling relationships is destructive and should be avoided at all costs. He encouraged us to put things right between people whenever possible as it will bring about greater rewards from Allah SWT than any other act of worship. We should strive to make peace with those around us, even if it means making sacrifices or compromises on our part.
