Sunan Abi Dawud 4913 (Book 43, Hadith 141) #25204
The Importance of Greeting Fellow Muslims

SUMMARY: It is not right for a Muslim to avoid another Muslim for more than three days, and if the other person does not respond to the salutations, then they bear their own sin.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah said: It is not right for a Muslim to keep apart from another Muslim for more than three days. Then when he meets him and gives three salutations, receiving during that time no response, the other bears his sin.
