The narrator in this hadith is Qatadah who was a famous companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He was known for his knowledge and wisdom in understanding the teachings of Islam. In this hadith, he encourages us to give away our honour as alms to those who serve Allah faithfully and obediently. By doing so, we can show our appreciation for their service and also gain rewards from Allah Almighty for being generous with our possessions. We should remember that whatever we have is a blessing from Him and it is only right that we share it with others who are less fortunate than us or those who are devotedly serving Him.
