Doing What Umar and Uthman Did

SUMMARY: Umar and Uthman used to do something.

Sa’id b. al-musayyab said : 'Umar b. al-khattab and 'Uthman b. 'Affan used to do that.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رضى الله عنه وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ كَانَا يَفْعَلاَنِ ذَلِكَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the actions of two companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him - 'Umar b. al-Khattab and 'Uthman b. 'Affan. They were known for their exemplary behavior and were held in high regard by the Prophet himself as well as other Muslims of their time. The hadith is a reminder that we should strive to emulate their good deeds in our own lives so that we can become better Muslims ourselves. We should take note of how they conducted themselves in all aspects of life - from worshiping Allah to dealing with people - so that we can learn from them and apply those lessons in our own lives today.
