QUICK LESSONS:
Showing Respect To Those Who Deserve It
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of respecting people who deserve it and not giving respect to those who do not. The Prophet Muhammad is teaching us that we should not give respect to bad people just because we fear their tongues. We should only give respect to those who have earned it through good deeds and actions. This hadith also teaches us that our words can have a powerful impact on others and so we must use them wisely. It reminds us that our words can either build up or tear down relationships with others and so we must choose our words carefully in order to maintain healthy relationships with others.
