Sunan Abi Dawud 4785 (Book 43, Hadith 13) #25076
Choosing the Easier Option and Taking Revenge for Allah's Sake

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always chose the easier option if it did not involve any sin, and he only took revenge for something that was forbidden by Allah.

'A’ishah said: the Messenger of Allah was never given his choice between two things without taking the easier(or lesser) of them provided it involved no sin, for if it did, no one kept farther away from it than he. And the Messenger of Allah never took revenge on his own behalf for anything unless something Allah had forbidden has been transgressed, in which event he took revenge for it for Allah’s sake.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad always chose the easier option if it did not involve any sin. He never took revenge on his own behalf unless something that was forbidden by Allah had been transgressed, in which case he would take revenge for it in order to uphold justice and protect what is right. This teaches us to be mindful of our choices and actions, as well as to stand up for what is right even when we are wronged. We should strive to make decisions that are beneficial both spiritually and physically, while also being aware of our responsibilities towards upholding justice in society.
