Sunan Abi Dawud 4774 (Book 43, Hadith 2) #25065
Kind Guidance Instead of Reprimand

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ never scolded Anas ibn Malik for any mistakes he made while serving him, instead of reprimanding him, he would kindly guide him.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: I served the Prophet at Medina for ten years. I was a boy. Every work that I did was not according to the desire of my master, but he never said to me: Fie, nor did he say to me: Why did you do this? or Why did you not do this?

This hadith teaches us to be patient with others when they make mistakes and to use kind words when guiding them rather than harsh words or criticism. It also shows us that even though we may not always get what we want from someone else, it is important to remain patient and understanding towards them as this will help foster a better relationship between both parties.
