Avoiding Those Who Believe in Free Will

SUMMARY: It is advised to not sit with those who believe in free will and to not address them before they address you.

'Umar b. al-Khattab reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying : Do not sit with those who believe in free will and do not address them before they address you.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be respectful towards others regardless of their views; Remain courteous when addressing others; Maintain a peaceful interaction with people even if you disagree on certain matters; Do not argue about other's views or opinions; Do not speak loudly at someone else's opinion or view point .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith advises us to avoid sitting with those who believe in free will and to not address them before they address us. This is because the belief of free will goes against the Islamic belief that Allah has complete control over all things, including our actions and decisions. We should be respectful of others' beliefs, but we should also be aware that our own beliefs are different from theirs. We should strive to maintain a respectful distance from those who do not share our beliefs so as not to get into arguments or debates about it.

The Prophet Muhammad also taught us that we should always be courteous when addressing others, regardless of their beliefs or opinions on any matter. We must remember that everyone deserves respect and kindness, even if we disagree with them on certain matters. By following this advice, we can ensure that our interactions with people remain peaceful and civilised at all times.
