Accepting Fate Over Control

SUMMARY: It is better to accept one's fate than to think that one has control over everything.

Humaid said: Al-Hasan used to say that his fall from the heaven on the earth is dearer to him than uttering: The matter is in my hand.

QUICK LESSONS:
Trust in God’s plan and accept your fate with patience and resignation .

EXPLANATIONS:
Al-Hasan was a great scholar who taught many lessons through his words and actions. One of the lessons he taught was that it is better to accept one's fate than to think that one has control over everything. He used the example of his fall from heaven on earth as an illustration of this lesson. He said that it was dearer to him than uttering "The matter is in my hand". This means that he accepted his fall from heaven as something out of his control and found comfort in knowing that it was part of God's plan for him. This hadith teaches us the importance of accepting our fate and trusting in God's plan for us instead of trying to take matters into our own hands.
