EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a judgement given by 'Umar regarding the bloodwite for quasi-intentional murder. Bloodwite or qisas is a form of punishment in Islamic law where an offender pays money or goods to compensate for their crime. In this case, it was decided that thirty she-camels in their fourth year, thirty she-camels in their fifth year and forty pregnant she-camels in their sixth year up to the ninth should be paid as compensation. This judgement was narrated by Mujahid and shows that justice must be served even if it was not intentional.
