QUICK LESSONS:
Respect the laws set out by God and follow Islamic law when punishing people for their wrongdoings.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the limits of punishment that can be given to someone who has committed a crime or done something wrong. The Prophet Muhammad instructed that no more than ten lashes should be given as punishment, except in cases where a punishment prescribed by Allah is applicable. This means that if someone has committed an act which requires a specific type of punishment according to Islamic law, then this must be followed and not exceeded. It also teaches us to respect the laws set out by God and not take matters into our own hands when it comes to punishing people for their wrongdoings.
