Be patient with those who are in such states ; Treat them kindly ; Show compassion ; Show mercy ; Forgive others .

This hadith explains that the actions of three types of people are not recorded. The first type is a sleeping person until he wakes up. The second type is an idiot until he regains his reason and the third type is a child until he reaches puberty. This means that whatever these three types of people do while in their respective states will not be held against them or taken into account when judging them for their deeds on the Day of Judgment. It teaches us to be patient with those who are in such states and to treat them kindly as Allah will not hold them accountable for their actions during this time period.
