Respect other people's bodies .

This hadith is about forbidding disfiguring and cutting off hands and feet from opposite sides. It was narrated by Anas bin Malik through a different chain of narrators that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade disfiguring. This version does not mention the words "from opposite sides". Other versions of this hadith were also narrated by Shubah from Qatadah and Salam bin Miskin from Thabit on the authority of Anas but they did not mention the words "from opposite side". The words "their hands and feet were cut off from opposite sides" were only found in one version which was narrated by Hammad bin Salamah. This hadith teaches us to respect other people's bodies as it is forbidden to disfigure or cut off their hands or feet even if it is done from both sides.
