EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's signet ring which was made by Uthman. Uthman was one of the companions of the Prophet and he fashioned a signet ring for him with his name engraved on it. The purpose of this ring was so that whenever he would stamp something or wear it as an accessory, people would know that it belonged to him and recognize him as a messenger from Allah. This hadith teaches us to be proud of our identity and not be ashamed to show who we are in public or in private settings. It also teaches us to respect those who have been chosen by Allah for special tasks such as Prophethood and follow their teachings without hesitation or doubt.
