This hadith is about the words of the Prophet regarding a man named Sa’id ibn Yassar, who was a client of Banu al Najjar. A client is someone who has been taken in by another family and given protection and support in exchange for loyalty and service to them. In this case, it was likely that Sa’d ibn Yassar was taken in by the family of Banu al Najjar as he did not have any other family to take care of him or provide for him financially or otherwise.
