The Prophet Muhammad's Bed

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad's bedding was made of leather stuffed with palm fibre.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The bedding of the Messenger of Allah consisted of leather stuffed with palm fibre.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَيَّانَ - عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ كَانَتْ ضِجْعَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ

He did not need luxurious items to sleep on and instead chose a simple material like leather filled with palm fibre for his bedding.
