EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abdullah ibn Ukaym, who was a young boy when he heard the letter of the Prophet Muhammad being read out in Juhaynah. The Prophet Muhammad advised against using the skin or sinew of an animal which died a natural death. This hadith teaches us to be mindful and respectful towards animals, even after their death. We should not take advantage of them and use their body parts for our own benefit without considering how they may have suffered in life or how they passed away naturally. We should also be aware that animals are living creatures with feelings and emotions, just like us humans, and we should treat them with respect at all times.
