Rewarding Good Deeds and Teaching Good Manners

SUMMARY: Doing good deeds and teaching good manners to slaves will be rewarded by Allah.

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: The Prophet said, "He who has a slave-girl and teaches her good manners and improves her education and then manumits and marries her, will get a double reward; and any slave who observes Allah's right and his master's right will get a double reward".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ "‏ أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ جَارِيَةٌ فَأَدَّبَهَا فَأَحْسَنَ تَأْدِيبَهَا، وَأَعْتَقَهَا وَتَزَوَّجَهَا، فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ، وَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَدَّى حَقَّ اللَّهِ وَحَقَّ مَوَالِيهِ، فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rewards of doing good deeds and teaching good manners. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if someone has a slave girl, teaches her good manners, improves her education, manumits her, and then marries her, they will receive double the reward from Allah. Additionally, any slave who observes Allah's right as well as their master's right will also receive double the reward from Allah. This hadith emphasizes the importance of treating people with kindness regardless of their social status or position in life. It also encourages people to do what is right even when it may not be easy or convenient for them to do so. By doing so they can expect to receive a great reward from Allah in return for their efforts.
