Sunan Abi Dawud 4052 (Book 34, Hadith 33) #24342
The Simplicity of Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was praying wearing a garment with marks on it, and he asked to have it replaced with a simple one without any marks.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah once prayed wearing a garment having marks. He looked at its marks. When he saluted, he said: Take this garment of mine to Abu Jahm, for it turned my attention just now in my prayer, and bring a simple garment without marks. Abu Dawud said: The name of Abu Jahm b. Hudhaifah from Banu 'Adi b. Ka'b b. Ghanam

Strive for simplicity in prayer; Focus on worshipping Allah; Avoid distractions from external factors like clothing or other items around you while praying; Make sure your worship is sincere and meaningful; Pay attention to details like clothing during prayer time; Respect religious practices like salah/prayer etc.; Follow the example set by Prophet Muhammad PBUH etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of simplicity in prayer. It is narrated by Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was once praying wearing a garment with marks on it. He noticed these marks and asked for the garment to be taken away and replaced with one without any markings. This shows us that even something as small as clothing can be distracting during prayer and should be avoided if possible. We should strive for simplicity in our prayers so that we can focus more on worshipping Allah instead of being distracted by external factors such as clothing or other items around us.

The Prophet Muhammad's example teaches us to keep our prayers simple so that we can focus more on worshipping Allah instead of being distracted by external factors such as clothing or other items around us. We should strive for simplicity in our prayers so that we can concentrate better and make sure our worship is sincere and meaningful.
