The Clothes of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The spirit of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was taken in two clothes, a coarse lower garment from Yemen and a patched garment called Mulabbadah.

Narrated Abu Burdah: I entered upon 'Aishah, and she brought a coarse lower garment that was manufactured in the Yemen and a patched garment called Mulabbadah. She swore by Allah that the spirit of the Messenger of Allah was taken in these two clothes.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ - الْمَعْنَى - عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - فَأَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا إِزَارًا غَلِيظًا مِمَّا يُصْنَعُ بِالْيَمَنِ وَكِسَاءً مِنَ الَّتِي يُسَمُّونَهَا الْمُلَبَّدَةَ فَأَقْسَمَتْ بِاللَّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُبِضَ فِي هَذَيْنِ الثَّوْبَيْنِ
